Mr. Constantin Șchendra, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Moldova assumed the position of the Chairman of the Group of Banking Supervisors from the Central and Eastern Europe (BSCEE Group)

Mr. Constantin Șchendra, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Moldova officially took over the position of Chairman of the Group of Banking Supervisors from the Central and Eastern Europe (BSCEE Group) as of 16 December 2025 for a period of one year.  Please find more information on the BSCEE Chairman here: https://www.bnm.md/en/content/mr-constantin-schendra-deputy-governor-nbm

The National Bank of Moldova joined the BSCEE in 1996 and has been actively involved in the activities of the BSCEE Group since then.

In line with the Agreement governing the organisation of the BSCEE Group, the Chairman of the Group is elected from its Member Institutions every year. The BSCEE Group brings together 25 Member Institutions from 24 countries and aims to promote closer cooperation and communication between the banking supervisors in the Region.
