The meeting between representative of the Basle Committee and the Principals of the Regional Group of Banking Supervisors was held in Basle on January 10, 2006. The Group of Banking Supervisors from Central and Eastern Europe was represented by the Chairman of the BSCEE Group Mr. Goran Knežević and Mr. Artur Radomski Head of BSCEE Secretariat.

During the meeting the representatives of the BCBS and the 12 Regional Groups of Banking Supervisor discussed the draft revision of the Basle Core Principles and its accompanying methodology document. The Basel Committee provide the representatives of the regional Groups with the information about the recent works of the Committee. The meeting provide a forum for strengthening regular cooperation between BCBS and the Regional Groups of Banking Supervisors.
